Sensitive Side

There is no mistaking it. Felix is a live wire. He is often a few steps ahead of me and is quick off the mark when he spies something he knows he shouldn't touch, grab or mess with. He stands his ground and rarely backs down when confrontation arises. The cause of many an escalated argument between him and his big brother. He can be boisterous and loud and downright difficult. And then he knows how to lay on the cutesy charm like a pro. But just lately, I've witnessed a more sensitive side to my littlest fellow.

Last week I dragged Angus' old toy stroller out of storage. Recalling how much Angus enjoyed toddling around with it at around the same age Felix is now. With that, a beautiful relationship was born. It has given me great pleasure to watch this pocket rocket burn up and down the house, with his 'baby' on board. Lap after lap, he powers. Giving kisses and cuddles and squawking "bye bye" each time he passes me. I do love this new found side of him.

  8. Isn't this such a magical age of learning and exploring...it's nice to see this playful side to our boys isn't it? and Felix is seriously just too cute for words.
Kaizer is quite partial to pushing around a stroller too these days, love seeing that nuturing side of him :)

  10. That smile is precious! It's nice to give boys the chance to show their sensitive sides. Mr O also has a pram and a couple of dolls and loves them. I find it funny how some people don't like the idea of giving boys prams, I can't see the harm at all. x

  12. The $10 pram we bought Oscar when he was still teeny was his most used toy - not only for carting stuffed toys around but also for putting all those things he felt were special... like McDonalds toys, random game pieces and a broken matchbox car he was obsessed with!
