Angus is in full blown Easter mode. He is totally fixated on the Easter bunny and anything that even remotely relates to the Easter bunny. Last week he told me that he was concerned "the Easter bunny may not fit inside our house... because he has long, sticky-uppy ears... which might not make it through our doorway", quote unquote. It's comments like this that reinforce my sheer love for being a Mama. Impossible not to smile.
Yesterday was a loooong day. As it always seems to be when daylight savings finishes up. But the weather... now that was a pearler. We hit the sand early and soaked up some of this last splash of warmth, before the days become frosty and bleak. One thing I am noticing at the moment, is how much better the boys are playing with one another. There are still meltdown moments of course and they'll always be boys, so the rough and tumble is here to stay. But I am seeing a genuine affection in their eyes, a desire to protect and a devilish spark as they plot their next moves. In keeping with the Easter obsession, Angus insisted practicing for his 'egg and spoon' race being held at preschool this week, by tottering back and forth with spadefuls of water. Much to Felix's fascinated delight, when each spadeful came to rest in his bucket. Our own little piece of paradise on a fine April day.
Oh - look at your little team!!!
