An Old Beauty

The awe-inspiring St Mary's Cathedral is one of those landmarks I will always look upon with wide-eyed wonder. Part of the city I love and have lived in all of my life. Every time I drive or walk past it, I admire it, in all it's historic glory. An endless array of angles and lighting and majestic beauty. We took a stroll in the city today and although the skies were a rather dull shade of grey, any sky is the perfect backdrop for such a spectacular church. It is to me, in every sense of the word, old... and absolutely stunning.

Linking up with Faith Hope & a whole lotta Love for Snap It on today's topic of: Old.

  3. Amazing architecture. Incredible to think they made it all by hand. True artists.

  4. I am not a believer as such, but I love visiting that amazing church when I visit the city. Just to sit in the grandness of a noble building and feel safe and content and feel like loved ones are watching over me.....its a lovely feeling.

  9. Its funny how some places just make us light up? Mine is a place in Wicklow called Mount Unsher Gardens - so so so so beautiful and I have lots of great memories from there with my mum and my girls. Good for the soul!

  11. I love this old church too J. The only really old things around here are shearing sheds, nothing with the beautiful design of a church like this.
