All is quiet, on New Years Day

Well our New Years Day was quiet... until about 3pm, when it turned pear shaped. The likely cause being extreme tiredness and severe male driven egos taking over all logic and reason. Those egos quite often get in the way of routine functioning around here. Nothing that a little time apart couldn't fix. Felix in the kitchen with me, Angus on the lounge with Scott. Harmony restored for a brief interlude.

But the morning, just. magic. The weather certainly turned it on for the first day of two thousand and twelve and being the sun lover that I am, it couldn't have made me happier. Colours so breathtakingly vibrant. Cool watery blues and iridescent mossy greens, framed the sky beautifully. It was truly a picture worth taking, again... and again. So I did. If it hadn't been for the unruly seaweed, the entire beach would have been perfect. Though I do have a love hate relationship with seaweed. I know it works wonders for the crystal clear waters we enjoy, like nothing else can. What a golden way to start the new year.
