Where I Stand

My weekdays are spent with the most loveable companion. The time we share together has me wondering just how I will cope when both my boys are in school. And to be honest, I don't like exercising those thoughts a great deal. There are parts of this motherhood journey that get me down. They push me to the brink and challenge me to within an inch of my sanity. But I would not trade this privileged role I have, for anything. This is precisely where I'm meant to be right now and being here feels so good.

Excursion to the sea side, Thursday morning, last week. Bliss.

  3. It's such a weird feeling to head off and enjoy a day with just one. It's just Meg and I these days and I have this little guilty feeling that we should wait to share the fun with the older 2......but of course thats impossible.
Enjoying the time you have with those you love is THE most important thing we can do in our lives. Each day is gift and you look like your out cherishing it. Thanks for the reminder :)

  8. Aww he is a cutie, all that digging looks like hard work. I hear you on the motherhood journey: a combination of feeling so blissfully happy, and wanting to run out the door with arms in the air screaming! Lucky for us the happy far outweighs the sanity-stretching x

  13. Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. Sometimes I want to rush my three year old off to kinder, and other times, "What was I thinking?" Treasure all those moments. Sometimes I wish I'd had another baby, but it's too late now. I just need to treasure all these beautiful moments with the beautiful, perfect boys I've been blessed with.

Beautiful photos Julie. Just beautiful. xxx

  14. Hi Julie, I've just found your blog and I love it and am now following you. Your sons are adorable and your children's clothing is very fresh and creative. I really love your photography too. I'm looking forward to reading more about your life. :)

  15. I so hear you! Some days I can't Zoe off to kinder quick enough as I need a break, but other days I almost run to pick her up. I miss our full days together, and can see how much she is growing up. I now have the (difficult) choice of putting her into kinder 9-3.30pm from September (when she turns 4). This is such a hard decision to make - it would give me more sewing time. I would miss her so much. But she loves kinder and loves learning, so this could be great for her, I don't want to hold her back. Enjoy every precious moment with your gorgeous weekday sidekick. Cat xox
